Trees speak softly

Post by Rynn Aethelraed »

Trees speak softly in the light of day,
They always have its just that way
They rustle their leaves to show they are mad
And some trees cry when others are sad
Sticky little tears that trickle through time
Mourning the groves taken from life
And in the groves where they herd,
With each standing near
A tree only need whisper,
for its brother to hear
For as the trees speak,
their limbs are stretched wide,
Praising the sun for the gift of their life,
and praising the moon for the shade of moon light
On the earth so green the trees might say,
am I the next one to be taken away
Trees speak softly, so not to be heard
by those who would take them,
from the groves of their birth
Trees speak softly to not frighten away,
the birds in their leaves as they sleep and they play
Trees speak softly in the dark of night,
They always have since the beginning of time
