Soothing music?

Could try traditional folk music, a metronome, classical like Mozart or Debussey, Yanni, Medwynn Goodall. Also look up "Sound of the Universe" on youtube it is the sound the universe actually makes that the satellite Voyager recorded. Heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3fqE01YYWs

that link to the sounds of the universe was amazing. I really liked that alot. I was unware of them. Learn something new every day huh It reminded me of some music that I heard that I posted a short while back I will repost it here. I think its good meditation music. It was made by two guys in an abandoned water tower. All the sounds you hear will man made not synthetic and the water sound you hear is water dripping from the roof of the water tower. I set it to the backdrop of beautiful caves because it echoes a cave theme.

I love the music of Snatam Kaur. After seeing her live, I almost dropped everything to follow her--she is very magnetic/majestic! Her and her band are 3HO Sikhs (New Age Sikhs) and her hymns are among the most soothing, devoted, and uplifting in the universe! I have posted the extra long, live version of Ong Namo--one of her best ever! If you have the time, please give a listen--I know it will lift you!!! "This is your Grace..." "Ong Namo, Guru Dev Namo" basically translates as "Ong namo--I bow to the subtle divine wisdom / Guru Dev namo-- I bow to the divine teacher within." Namaste my brothers and sisters!

Whilst this isn't music I think its great meditation sound. Also being far away from the sea this connects me with the water element which I find hardest to get.

I find that a lot of Bjork's music has that spiritual feeling to it -

The song "Nattura" is fast drumming and you can really feel it pounding through your body, and personally, it makes me want to live like an animal. Not in the negative sense, but kind of i guess i could say, connecting with your inner animal. Because we are all just mammals, you know. (And now i have that Eminem song stuck in my head adfkds)

The song "Pagan Poetry" is so beautiful, it makes me want to go out and see nature.

I'm sorry if this isn't what you were looking for, but her music is very spiritual to me, and it makes me feel very happy. Which would in turn soothe you, i suppose. I hope i helped!
