Nordic magic?

Post by Wolf* »

Does anyone have any info or recomended readds on Nordic magic? As you may have read in another thread of mine, I am very interested in the Norse pathenon, so I figured why not completely adopt this paradigm for a while to get better aquianted with the beliefs. It can be anything, whether its reletively modern, ancient sacrificial rites (I can tweek those afterall). So anyway, any information will be greatly appriciated. Thanks :)

There are also a number of deity sites and ebooks on the eddas etc. I'm afraid that I don't know any paper books in particular. Reconstructionism of a classical pagan religion is a scholarly undertaking. If you are serious about it, most study the language in order to read the original materials. Of course, some people celebrate norse deities using wiccan methods. The reconstructionists tend to look down on wiccans as being slipshod in our methods.

I've studied the Norse traditions for some time, mostly the Norse magic referred to as Seith, its a Norse shamanism type path.

Well, where I was going to recomend has already been mentioned so I will only add on simply:

"May Urd draw out you cord long, May Vervandi hang it high, affixed to a strong and bright star and may Skuld me leaniant in her time to cut it."

Blessed be.
The greatest advice I was ever given: It matters not what you believe. Only that you believe it wholeheartedly.
