Dreaming about places

Post by WiccanWitch »

I have dreams of places that are modern enough I don't believe they are past lives but in the dreams I feel like I've been there before. In fact, I sometimes have a difficult time telling difference between dream and memory though I know it's not anyplace I've ever been before.

Thoughts?

Perhaps they're subconscious? The feeling of deja vu?
I am the Earth, The Sun and the Stars
And I am the also the Moon
I am all animal and birds,
And I am the outcast as well, and the thief
I am the low person of dreadful deeds,
And the great person of excellent deeds
I am Female. I am Male and I am Neuter.

Sometimes I visit a place and recognize it, with no explanation for why.

Very much so. But no explanation to it as I know I've never been there.

Sometimes it's not even just feeling that I've been there before but I've been there a lot.

Wonder if these are places my soul visits while I'm asleep. Lol. I do think she (me) goes out and explores from time to time.

It's common for me, at least, to forget about all the stuff I do dream working, only to have such memories come back later through a trigger event. (These are not necessarily a bad "trigger" like PTSD, there is no "attack" or anything.)

I have that sort of thing once in awhile too but these are in the dream not any place I've actually been that I'm aware of. I have a long history of dreams that blend with reality even as a child some things I remember vividly I'm pretty sure are dreams. Some are terrifying others just different. I have a vivid memory of looking at myself in bed sleeping when I was 6-7 years old.

The vast majority of my dreams that I can remember I'm lucid to semi lucid. Scientifically speaking that may just mean I'm in a shallower phase of sleep. The majority of dreams recalled are only when you awake during REM sleep not the deeper phases.
