"Well actually, if you think about it, it does. You're affecting another person's freewill by denying them the right to hurt you. Of course you have the right to protect yourself - we all do, but this person who wants to hurt you may have decided that the only way they can defend themselves aga...

those things you mentioned it's about helping others So, what you're saying is, it's ok to affect another person's will just so long as you've decided it's for their own good? No. That's not my view anyways. This is why I don't do magick for or on others unless they ask. That way there is no violat...

How so, GM? How does every spell we cast affect someone's free will? "Harm" is a subjective term that has meaning only within a context. What is your context? Then you will know what "harm" means to you. I have no problem with casting spells of protection, defense and if necessar...

It depends on what you mean but, I would say check out some Otherkin forums.

Otherkin Phenomena is the one I recommend for serious discussions and no fluff.

If you're comfortable and get a good sense, why not just open up a respectful conversation with her? I see no reason why any of the many goddesses of the worlds can't come to you wearing armor. Good luck!

As a hard polytheist, I prefer to direct my worship to specific persons or a group of persons. A nameless, faceless "Someone" is...well, unknown. I personally can't see the sense it in. But if it works for you and you get results...hey, go with it.

It might be helpful to remember that your mother loves you and sees you making what is to her a very, very dangerous choice. Any mother would warn her child away from such things and condemn any action the child took to keep said thing(s) in their life. To her, it's like you're hiding drugs in your ...

Forgiveness literally means that you no longer require a person to repay a debt. Notice that doesn't have anything to do with the debtors actions or behavior. It means you're letting go what is rightfully your due for the sake of peace or whatever is the perceived outcome. Forgiveness can be an act ...

DJ Conway is a very modern writer. Enjoy the book but...at some point delve into some more traditional stuff. However, if you're doing spell work think of it as building up and saving energy for your purpose. If you tell people, you're sort of leaking some of that energy to them. Once the energy is ...

I don't believe anyone knows the future. I believe what we do is see patterns and connections and the better we are at that, the more accurate our predictions will be. However, in the moment I see a connection but then stop focusing on it, someone can change their mind and alter a very significant c...

I'm unclear what is being said here...are you *dreaming* these things? Or are they dreams within dreams? Personally I don't buy into *any* notion that says, "Once upon a time there an all good civilization until X came and turned it all bad." Even if that were the case, in no way does that...

If one assumes that a person has a "soul" or "force" that is "driving" the vehicle of their body and is the seat of all one's intelligence and spiritual power then yes, I'd agree...there is an issue with the idea of reincarnation. I have no opinion on the idea of reinca...

And what if it is? So long as you're living a healthy, balanced life and not shoving up anyone else's nose...I say go for it. Be open, be a critical thinker and choose wisely your beliefs but otherwise...live it up! This is why my path, despite a belief in gods, is focused on this life and not an af...

It depends on the deity or guide I suppose. The Catholic Church is huge on the idea of personal suffering being willed by their god. As it is, I think such a thing is terrible if not downright evil so no, I would not think they would if they are decent. You have my sympathy, friend. I wish you peace...
