Walking Meditation

sitting ~ standing ~ walking ~ yoga ~ tai chi ~ baguazhang ~ chi kung

all forms of meditation that I do ~ it takes my whole life

I find baguazhang circle walking to be the most grounding ~ I spend two and a half hours a day circle walking while holding energy postures

it's all pretty grounding ~ I just do a lot of circle walking ~ I don't always feel like doing yoga but I don't seem to have any problems committing to the walk everyday ~ I also do all of my forms every day ~ but I don't always want to so I may put very little effort into it but still do it for memory

sometimes I just meditate on my tv shows
there are psychic abilities meditations on youtube ~ I find them helpful

supposedly baguazhang is associated with the air element ~ and Tai chi is associated with the water element

I'd never heard of circle walking meditations before today. That's fascinating!

Was fortunate enough to be able to walk a labyrinth with my daughter as we purposely overlapped caretaking duties for my Mom last weekend so we could all hang out together some.

Seems the energy for the moon was Chaotic. Maybe it was just because we did a lot, argued a bit, drove far, ate, drank, got too hot, found more than the labyrinth at the labyrinth location. A multi-location meditation station vacation resort! We'll be coming back here more to explore! Was able to do some release work.
Also has a great bit of connectivity trouble on our zoom meeting during the eclipse, with added lunar shyness. My location struggled with tall redwood trees hampered by drifting clouds, but we did get a glimpse at totality which was fantastic smiley_dance plus one member on the zoom meet shared a pic of her son in law's view at dawn in London and one from the SFV post dusk in Cali. ::coolglasses::

Walking meditations are a great way to take a breather from the chaos of the world. My favorite is within a labyrinth, but we've done them in a circular or spiral manner within the context of a ritual, sometimes with stations that may pose a challenge, or have a question for you to ponder.
Check out the labyrinth finder.

I've done 9 palaces stepping ~ it's kind of like being in a labyrinth

if anyone ever asks me what I've done with my life ~ I can tell them that I walked in a circle in the dark

Short stacks of stones might work too. It's interesting how the guy in the video switches hands as he makes his way around the towers. Helps to keep with the concentration of the movements. When your mind is in a pattern of something else it allows the portal in the brain to be receptive to the subconscious.
BTW Hologram, I moved this to the Meditation topic, you got some good stuff here.
