How do you like that for a non descript title
so...it is black, white and pink and it is not rhodonite or rhodochrosite. The pink and black crystals in it are real sparklie. And the pink is a deep pink color. The black is almost like mica but not as reflective or without the goldtone. They told me what it was when I bought it but I forgot. Rats.

Mystery rock
I looked it up once before I forgot the name, said it was radioactive. Turns out several kinds of rocks are radioactive, but to what degree?

Doing an internet search leads me to believe it is granite.
Not granite
or marble. But thanks...
I want to say it started with an R .

THAT'S IT!!!
HA! no R involved
thank you NeverMoon
Now I have a place where I can remember it, the radioactivity kinda freaks me out although I can't imagine it's any worse than hiking around the Santa Susana Field Lab area

Eudialytes are indeed mildly radioactive, but wearing or handling pieces under 5 cts (1 gram) should pose no health risks. On the other hand, holding a eudialyte sphere of 5,000 cts (1 kg) — a very large piece, indeed — would expose you to 2.40 mREM per hour.

I wonder if it glows! LoL, Thanks you guys!
no really I would like to find a blacklight flashlight to check all the other stones for their luminosity. (And maybe a geiger counter?)
I have searched all over for a brick and mortar store....I do not shop on line. All these places (Walmart, Home depot, Lowes, Harbor frieght) say they have them but when I get there, they say they don't. Any ideas? I would think a lapidary supply might, or is there a forensics supply? Oi.

It looks to me like rubellite tourmaline in matrix.
