Older pagans.

Older pagans. Like here in EU one counts as a senior/older at age 50 and over. Some folks prefer like 55 or 60 and over. I am 61 and see myself as older pagan since 50. Maybe even earlier due to OA. (osteoarthritis)
I have been searching online looking if there exists a specific geared towards seniors/older pagans forums.
If anyone knows of such a forum?
There are lots of things that are influenced by age.
Also in search of older pagan youtubers? And older pagans with a blog? Practical tips etc. :)

Senior? I'm close to 51 and would not consider myself senior yet! With 70 maybe :-)

I do not think the majority of us wants extra forums, I'm most happy with people of all ages.

I think one of the down falls with the younger pagans had been their beliefs stemming from Harry Potter, Charmed and the Vampire type movies...I forget the name, anyway, they came with this idea that things were going to fly, changing eye-color, and vanishing into thin air, when this didn't happen they were less interested in doing the actual magic work of a hero's journey.
I started before the internet was a thing and the bulk of ones information came from the library. I had actually pondered on such a thing,... like where is the You tube channel where the wise woman speaks? I'm a little tired of the "witch" videos with the young girls all dressed in their witchy attire who have been practicing, like, "forever" and are giving sage wisdom. I maybe found one. Not sure why, maybe it's time to spark up such a thing?
I'll be 63 this year, eegads! and it is harder to jump the bonfire, I remember egging on the older members about just swinging a leg over the fire or swishing their skirt over it, and here I was running and jumping several times in a May fest and now I'm like swinging a leg over :annoyed:

Since years have been searching does it exist a pagan retirement community? Something like those in Florida but instead of things like golf and bridge more pagan oriented activities?

Ive never looked for Geezers circle web sites 🙂. I’m 68, so far so good, & always been Solitary. I walk with a cain on good days or a walker on not so good days. My backyard rites include a lawn chair for my obligatory star gazing. I keep an athame, 1-quart cauldron, fire starters, & a thermos in a carry basket. Set up is easy. I can stay on the small deck-ramp or go out on the lawn under the Moon ☺️.

I am 66 and even though I describe myself sometimes as a cranky old lady, I do not consider myself a senior. I am still working, and I take care of my 89 year old aunt who is a senior. I do take advantage of the senior discounts though, and those vary from age 55 to 60. :)

I agree with Firebird that there is a sillyness to 25 to 30 year olds claiming to be wise. Make me laugh thinking about it. Maybe I am getting back what I dished out when I was that age, but I don't think so, I have always felt I don't know as much as I want to.

I'm 47 and still active despite RA occasionally kicking me off my pedestal. Fortunately stubbornness is one of my super-powers...

Creaking Trees

A crone,
twisted and old,
contorted by pain;
a visitor in the fall,
without mercy,
without fail,
as the year declines,
as the weather turns
and the sunlight wanes,
to the years dismay.

Decrepit & bent,
present;
a dull hammer,
a buckled knife,
a blunt chisel,
insistent,
tenacious,
invasive,
a worm in the apple,
tree’s groaning in a bitter breeze,
creaking whispers,
harsh realities,
cruel truths,
huddled in silence,
terrible patience,
holding on,
bowed and embowered,
enfeebled frame,
hugging it close.
Swaddled ...
Cocooned within her agonies.

Strength in the worst of times;
when pain is the world, she endures.
fierce in her courage,
tough old bitch,
hag,
uncompromising,
unapologetic,
undefeated,
holding pain at the back of her throat,
spitting it in the face of demons,
clinging tight,
conjoined,
together,
tender,
within gnarled hands.
