Hello everyone,
If there any simple spell/ritual for safe hitchhiking?

Yes. Don't hitchhike. There are a lot of unknowns out there.

I know hitchhiking is dangerous but I'm used to it. I hitchhike a lot but I need more protection for this trip. Can you share that spell?

I hitchhiked for a month, went 3000 miles. It was the best thing that has ever happened to me. It quite literally shaped me to be the man I am today.
I don't know any spells for hitchhiking specifically, but I do know that there are Hindu mantras for travel and direction protection.

Hitchhiking at your age would be borderline insane in my country, but maybe it's safer where you live? Either way, best of luck.

Geez Louise, just do a protection pouch & draw a pentagram on it. Look up protection correspondences in the Correspondence List in the Witchcraft and Wicca 101 section. Power comes from your effort. Use what you have on hand from the list (which we wouldn't know because we don't know you). If you have nothing from which to assemble a pouch, or can't be bothered to make the investment, then pick up a small stone off the ground & draw a pentagram on it, or use a pentagram pendant, since the pentagram is itself a protective sign. Smudge to clear prior energies away, (then assemble the pouch, if that's what you use). Then breathe into your amulet the breath of life or whatever you personally do to activate your spell components. Raise your passionate witch power however you usually do &'charge the amulet with the intent of protecting you from physical, spiritual & emotional harm. Carry pouch, stone or pendant 24/7.
All any spell amounts to is putting your charged intention into a compatible substance or container to house it. When the intent is protection, you want to use things that agree with that purpose. Easy peasy.

It's too bad hitch hiking has become such a dangerous thing.
I remember my dad even picking up hitch hikers when we would be on vacation. But then he came from an era where one was obligated to pick up servicemen if the were hitching.
I used to pick up hitch hikers all the time...last one was maybe 30 years ago. Then it got strange.
I also traveled a few thousand miles cross country to Michigan, up and down the coast, and to Oregon once by thumb but that was the 70's. Things were just getting stranger. A few bad experiences which I won't go into detail ...and by 1983 I stoped hitching rides.
Cross your fingers remember the words of Morrison...which I used to write on the back of every freeway onramp sign whilst awating rides...
"Thoughts in time and out of season,
The hitchiker stood by the side of the road,
And leveled his thumb in the calm calculus of reason".
(The poem doesn't end well but it sounded cool at the time)

Being emancipated at 16yrs old I traveled by thumb all across the US,
a lot of times I traveled alone, going anywhere and everywhere I so
desired. That was in 1977-1983 until the carnival found me...
I was unaware at the time I was empathic, it saved my life.
I was hitching up California's Hwy 99 North of Bakersfield, Ca.
I got picked up by this guy, as soon as I shut the door alarms went
off. I asked him to pull over and let me out...
"I'll take you to the next exit..."
No, let me out now ! I had my hand on the latch, "I'll jump, pull over !"
He did, whew...
That's when the carneys picked me up, I stayed with the carnival for
10 years.
Later in life, watching tv with hubby I saw a familiar face on the tv.
I'll never forget those eyes...it was Richard Ramirez, serial killer !
I think I messed my pants when I saw that face on my tv...my muscles
have tightened up now just from writing this
