Twilight's Gardening Adventures

Post by TwilightDancer »

We moved into our house last summer So I can finally garden. So far I have mint and rosemary in the kitchen.

I have chamomile and shasta daisies that I planted a few weeks ago that are ready to go outside. So that's what I spent my free time doing today.

My mint plant is still adjusting to the mug. It was just transplanted a week ago.

I also planted lavender outside that is starting to sprout.

I actually have 800 more lavender seeds ready to plant. I also have several vegetables, sunflowers, sage, more daisies and blueberry bushes.

To be continued..

Got a ton more lavender seeds started. :D

Lavender is so important to me because I use it in so many things. Witchy things, teas, baths, cooking. The uses of lavender are unlimited!!

What a cute herbal garden! Let us know how it grows. Definitely post photos. I haven't tried lavender in cooking yet. Where do you use it?

Lavender cookies, lavender pancakes, lavender in soups, lavender pasta. So many recipes. Maybe I should start a cooking with herbs thread.

I tried growing corn once. I didn't have enough room in my yard so I had to plant it outside my fence. The neighbors made me take it out though. None of them like corn on the curb. Rim shot ! I'll be here all week. Looks great! We always had a vegetable and herb garden when I was a kid. My grandma was a stay at home person. Ah. Those less complicated times of the 60's and early 70's. Her arthritis got to bad by the late 70's, everybody else worked, no garden. My wife for all her other wonderful qualities has a black thumb. Green house proprietors won't let her within 50 yards of there establishments. Closest I can get is a farmers market. I'm lucky that way. We have one every week on Thursday in my town.
