My Heart's Desire

Here I stand before you,
My soul and heart in hand,
I offer them freely to you,
What you do now will stand,
In my heart and soul forever,
So I beg of you never,
To drop them in the sand,
My heart is a fragile thing,
My soul is tattered but whole,
I am not what I seem,
But more than you dream,
I can be everything,
I can be nothing,
The difference is,
What you choose to do today,
Break me if you will,
I'll pick up the pieces,
Another hole in my soul,
The pain may linger,
But I must move on,
I must try and find,
One who will take them,
And hold them close,
To heal the wounds,
And love me as I am.
My soul and heart in hand,
I offer them freely to you,
What you do now will stand,
In my heart and soul forever,
So I beg of you never,
To drop them in the sand,
My heart is a fragile thing,
My soul is tattered but whole,
I am not what I seem,
But more than you dream,
I can be everything,
I can be nothing,
The difference is,
What you choose to do today,
Break me if you will,
I'll pick up the pieces,
Another hole in my soul,
The pain may linger,
But I must move on,
I must try and find,
One who will take them,
And hold them close,
To heal the wounds,
And love me as I am.
