I did. Last night after the tents were up and the wood was stacked, I set out to making a large fire ring. I thought about the hoops that Black Elk drempt of. Circles that overlap. Hoops of peace that overlap. We are all connected. I layed on the sand and stared out at the stars.
We are all so tiny in the grand scheme of things, in that moment peace seemed the only way to go, and for that I was grateful. Then I fell asleep.
I'll set the fire today, and light it tonight. Come on out folks ...it's really peaceful.

Well, it started to rain a little but I'm sure the fire will keep us warm.
It's a super magical rejuvenating fire that doesn't even need constant fuel!
So relaxing to stick ones feet in the sand and listen to the fire, gaze out at the Stars....
This will burn for eight hours at a time, in which an additional piece of wood is added and presses the re-set button on the way into the flames!

LIGHTING THE FIRE

I call upon the 4 directions to add joy and blessings to this bon fire of peace, may it's flames remind us of what's important, letting go and burning away useless modes of thinking, that which would keep us from our own inner peace. For when we are peaceful within, we are peaceful without. Dear Lord and Lady of every religion, let all our relations sit beside us and witness the flower that would bloom out of the ashes of release. HO!

>>sparks a flame from her thumb and tosses it to the wood <<
>>>WOOSH, the flames rise up <<<<

PEACE FIRE MEDITATION

(Do some relaxing techniques and read this to get in a zone)
listen to the sound of the crackling fire.
smell the sweet resin rising up on sacred smoke.
feel the warmpth radiating on to your skin.
the bright orange glow flashes off your eyes.
something deep within stirrs,
and you sense that which connects you to the all.
It is comforting yet primal.
the spark of fire burns the remembrance of your inner self.
the crackle of the wood comforts you and you breath deeply the night air.
inner joy and peace fills your being as you float among the rising sparks.
know that you are perfectly safe here.
pondering over time, take the instances you were at unrest with yourself or others,
release that energy into the flames.
imagine yourself and others healed by your letting go.
fill the void with love, peace and kindness to yourself,
experience gratitude in this new found virtue.
sit with peace and listen to the crackling flames.

When you are ready, bring yourself back to the fire and enjoy the solitude of this magical place.

There are tents over on the rise, if you wish to sleep out here and listen to the fire throughout the night ::coolglasses::
(We'll have a party on Walpurgisnacht!) (Then we can let loose a bit!)

Hoops of peace is what I see too, rings of golden light flowing outward, like a pebble tossed in a pond.

NS - Deal me in. Nothings up my sleeve, but what's that behind your ear?

Hmmm, maybe we're disturbing the peace in the peace garden, so let's take our game to a quiet corner elsewhere so people can get back to meditating, and allow the sacred nature of the place to prevail. Shhh.

Hey there, hope you all had a chance to enjoy the quiet amidst the soothing fire noises.

I propose a drumming circle for tonight, to commence with the passing of the Loving Cup.

Sorry I haven't been around. Bronchitis has had me really distracted. If someone finds a lung on the ground, it's mine.
