Journal of Positive Thoughts

This picture is of a journal similar to mine.

I guess you can call this an "oldy but goody." I came up with the idea for this journal almost 8 years ago. I even wrote a blessing for it.
It's interesting to go back through this journal and see what my idea of happiness has been over the years. Cheers to the pursuit of happiness!

May only positive thoughts reside in these pages. May the thoughts within harm none and be used with only good intentions.
By the powers of Earth,
Powers of stability, security and fertility,
I bless this book.
By the powers of Air,
Powers of freedom, perception and thought,
I bless this book.
The powers of Fire,
Powers of love, healing and nature,
I bless this book.
By the powers of Water,
Powers of emotions, feelings and dreams,
I bless this book.
By the power of three times three, as I do will, so mote it be!

The blessing is written on the front cover, and the back has a few symbols including the pentacle, a symbol of the God and a symbol of the Goddess.

I've been trying to only put the spells that I've written myself in this online BOS, but the following article was so interesting & unique, I just had to share it. :flyingwitch:

HOW TO MAKE BLACK SALT
January 25, 2013 · by Stacey · in How to Make....

Black Salt is used in spells and rituals involving banishing magick, as added protection against negative energy and to remove hexes and jinxes. Black Salt may be sprinkled around your home or property, added to banishing sachets, incenses, and herbal mixtures. A little Black Salt goes a long way. Of course you may purchase Black Salt but it is much more powerful to create your own. To make:

  • *Burn banishing herbs on a charcoal disc inside your cauldron. Allow the charcoal and herbs to burn down completely.
*Scrape the inside of your cauldron with a sharp spoon or knife.
*Crush the scrapings in a mortar and pestle then add plain white salt or natural sea salt. Use about twice the amount of salt as scrapings.
*Crush and mix the salt and scrapings together while concentrating on banishing energies.
*Put the newly created black salt into a little jar and label it.

The first video I had here is no longer available. I found a lovely replacement that demonstrates not only how to make black salt, but it also gives its uses. I hope you enjoy it. :)

Vanilla Tea

I know that this is the lazy witch way of making tea, but the result is tastey.

1 bag honey vanilla chamomile tea (try Celestial Seasonings)
1 bag vanilla caramel truffle black tea (try Lipton)
1 bag vanilla chai tea (try Bigelow)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup sugar (more or less, depending on preference)
1 gallon of water
1 gallon jug or picture

Some ideas for empowerment: love, happiness, peace, a good day

You can boil the tea in a big pot that holds at least a gallon of water. Honestly, I made my tea in the coffee maker. One twelve cup coffee pot gave me a little more than half a gallon of tea. After the first pot was made, I added another six cups of water to the coffee maker and made another pot, still using the same tea bags.
If you have a pitcher or jug that's not made of good sturdy material, I definitely suggest letting the tea cool completely before pouring it in or your container will warp.

Warning: The Bigelow brand of vanilla chai tea has caffeine. You may wish to look for an alternative if you want your tea to be caffeine free.

Music in my ears
Magick in my heart
My soul is free
Now I've got the spark

*This was inspired by time I spent listening to my favorite Cd on Youtube today. It was amazing because I used to own this Cd, but I've had it stolen from me. Not once, but twice.

I know that many of us would like an altar room to worship and work magic in, but sometimes it seems that we're stuck with just a small corner. Here's a prayer to help you appreciate the space you have.

Small Space Prayer
Lord and lady help me see the space I need
In this place so small
Spin the gears that turn in my brain
So I can make the most of what I have
Guide my hands to stack like Tetris
Guide my besom to make Mr. Clean proud
I know the potential is there, Lord and Lady,
Let me see through your loving eyes
*I like coming up with these on the fly prayers. smileylove loveface
