Thousands of Usernames Cleared for Use

Post by Starwitch »

I deleted around 10,000 inactive usernames, so feel free to change your username to something you like better.

(This part below is debatable, and I'm trying to find out for sure. See rest of thread for details.)
If you do change your username, your account will need to be reactivated by an admin (not my choice - it's built into the software that way, sorry). If you want to be reactivated quickly, you can email me through my profile to let me know you changed your username.

You can also let PM message me here and I can reactivate you If I know what you are changing it to.
Maybe I'll take off the Flys part of my name, because someone already had Firebird when I joined.

I would honestly love it if you took the "flys" off your name, Firebird. I wish you had told me long ago you preferred "Firebird". I would have happily arranged it for you. Please also capitalize your username if it's all the same to you. If you have a reason for not capitalizing it, I understand.

I was reading another thread and learned (from you) that changing your username doesn't require reactivation. Only changing email address requires it. If anyone has changed their username already and can confirm this, please let me know below. Firebird can simply change her name in the admin panel, so she's not a good test subject for this.

>>>Hangs head<<...not a good test subject, LoL LoL
Ok cool :fairy: I wish I had known you would have done that for me too! I remember signing up and finding Firebird already taken, though I do use the "Flys" in other places too, for some reason it irks people off that I spell it that way. >>shrugs<<
