The coronavirus scare is getting so crazy, I decided to head for th hills, to go to our summerhouse for a while. How long while, no idea, with luck just a week or two, if things go totally south. Longer.

I have trying to get to the bottom of this ordeal and to me it looks like its 20% disease and 80% media psyop. But the panic is real and scared people do stupid things and I certainly do not want to be on the way if hordes of crazed out iSlaves take on the streets... Read, food shortage. I don't think it'll go to that, but its better to be safe than sorry. Besides I'm long overdue from taking a break from the insanity of the world and enjoy the great outdoors. With little luck I can get some fishtraps in the lake too.

Anyway, people are starting to go nuts and this is Finland where people are normally so calm and reserved. So far only panic buying around my area, but who knows how nuts it will go. There might be lockdowns and travel bans coming up next week and I'd rather be stuck in middle of nowhere than here in the town.

At least I will have time to post here too, last months have been rather busy...

I'm supposed to go camping next week and am considering cancelling, mostly because it is supposed to pour down rain for the first 3 days.

Why am I not suprised you guys say you'd want to come with me. I had some friends toady say the same thing... I'm lucky to have such place where to run if the ground gets too hot to walk. Mostly its just about having a "vacation" of this town, I've been here most of the time since autumn and I really miss the peace and quiet. Oh and there's probably not many planes buzzing above as most flights have been suspended so its even more peaceful than usual.

Anyway, my plan is to get there and watch the show from far enough. If there's some big lockdowns or my town gets infected with either a virus or fear, I wont be stuck here with all these people. I don't think this craze will have any effect out there, the place is so rural, there's only dozen residents in closest several kilometers, even less so this time year. Safe hideout for sure. Also no need to worry about food, the only thing slowing me down is the ice as the lake is still frozen.

About damn time to get out of town. I'm expecting more fear porn on media and some big announcements next week. This whole thing is so ridiculous, kind of stuff happening that went on last time between 1939 - 1945.

Third day at the summerhouse, no people, no craziness, only the wind and wildlife and that's it. In three days I have seen two people (might be the same person.) besides my girlfriend and my dog. I saw a man riding one of those snow bikes on the lake, then today probably the same guy ice fishing about two kilometers away on the ice and besides that, no one.

Even the planes aren't flying, so fra I have counted one plane yesterday and two today. Its very peaceful here. Tomorrow's a shopping day, it will be interesting to see if the closest local shop still has food. They should from what I know. North Karelia is apparently free of any infections if the mass media isn't lying about it. It was a great idea to come over here.

Speaking about people watching each other, I'm glad I ain't home. My neighbor is a crazy lady who's favorite passtime is to watch others and cause trouble. I bet she's nuts with the corona craze and probably causing havoc even more than usual. Way nicer to stay here without the neighborhood gestapo agent causing trouble.

Still no idea how long I will stay here, at least few days more, if things go worse, few weeks. We only need some things from the shop, nilk and some food stuff but not much.

I might feel sporting tomorrow and try out if I can get a fishtrap below the ice. Some fresh fish would be awesome, last time I had some was in september.

I could flee to forest cabin which is sort-of still part of the city. I'm becoming rather depressed. I have been in the house for 2 weeks now, we'll be out of food soon, well not completely out but things like bread, milk and eggs...and I'm terrified to go to the store. My husband still goes over to his moms every couple days and they have teenagers over there and I doubt they are staying home. Ma-in-law has serious health issues, and my mother has a heart condition, I'm scared to death I'll never see her again, I wish I would have stayed there a couple weeks ago instead of coming home. Los Angeles is all closed down, it's creepy. This is like watching a train wreck in super slow-mo and you don't know if you are on the train or not.
