Hi Epithymia,
I've completed your reading using a simple 6 Rune Cross Spread. Just please keep in mind that this is only my interpretation of the runes so if you feel there may be an alternative or further meaning than what I've presented to you hear, by all means, go with your intuition.
The first position represents you in your present circumstances, and here I drew Ing :ingrune:, the seedrune. Ing is the rune of gestation, growth, and stored energy. So I believe that for you, it means that you're currently in a 'holding pattern' in terms of your life, the time right before you make some major changes. You're in preparation to take action, but in order to do so, you realize that you're going to have to let several past things go, and make way for the new chapter in your life. Thus, I think Ing is telling you to be sure that you're living entirely in the present if you want these changes to be not only good for you in the long term, but also if you want them to last.
The second position represents how the past affects the present and here I drew Thurisaz :thornrune:, Thor's rune. Something traumatic happened to you in the past which has made you hesitant, not only to trust others, but yourself, and your ability to better your own circumstances. Shields that you had placed around yourself for protection were broken, and you've had a difficult time moving past it. I also get the impression that you had begun something important for yourself in the past, like getting an education or moving on from an old relationship (something to that effect), and that in order to keep moving forward, it would do you well to finish what you started.
The third position represents how the future will likely unfold for you if you continue as you presently are, and here I drew Laguz :lakerune:, the lakerune. Laguz, in many respects, is the rune of the unconscious, and the exploration of it in order to learn deeper truths about ourselves. Frequently, that means delving into a past that we would rather forget. Laguz's presence in the spread suggests to me that it is an encouragement for you, to learn to master your emotions concerning your past in order to shape your future, instead of allowing that past to shape it for you. The future is made in the present, and while we have no control over the past from that standpoint, we
can control how much dominance we will allow it to have in our lives. Laguz, I think, is encouraging you to "take the plunge", to both allow yourself the chance to deal with your past trauma and to allow yourself to let it go, so that you can begin building a future free of fear and trepidation.
The fourth position represents the foundation of your situation, and here I drew Wunjo :joyrune:, the joyrune, and it was inversed. Wunjo is not a very complicated rune, and at its heart, is symbolic of the shared joy we have in our relationships, with others, and with our circumstances. From the position of Wunjo in this spread, I believe that you feel a lack of joy, not only in where you are in life, but also a lack of meaningful relationships. You feel as though you're in a rut, or even backpedaling a little, and this is a major driving force in your desire for change.
The fifth position represents the challenge(s) you will face in accomplishing your goals, and here I drew Tiwaz :tyrrune:, Tyr's rune. Developing faith in yourself, and that the changes you make will turn out well, is going to be very difficult for you. To have that faith, for you, is a kind of self-sacrifice, because you'd have to allow yourself a certain amount of trust. Therefore, I see Tiwaz as a further encouragement to you to be fair to yourself, to have courage in yourself, and to find inner balance. You are more than capable of taking care of yourself, and of making sure that your life will follow that path that you want it to. You
are brave, and strong, and, honestly, all you need is a little more confidence.
The sixth position represents the probable outcome if you heed the advice of the runes, and here I drew Hagalez :hailrune:, the hailrune. The changes that you aim to make in your life, including moving, health changes, financial changes, will very likely come to pass, and will be good changes for you. Hagalez indicates completion, inner harmony, and long-term balance. So, I really do think that Hagalez's presence is a very positive sign that everything is going to work out for you, given time, patience, and effort.
I hope this was helpful for you! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about your reading.
Bright Blessings,
