It's nice today. Got the windows open and everything.

Yesterday we had a mild breeze, sun & a few clouds. I did some early yard work in shirtsleeves.
Today it's grim, overcast & teeth chattering chilly & I needed an overcoat.

Edit 4-11-19 7:30 AM woke up to an inch of snow on the ground it'll melt fast but still... The robins are cussing.

Spring has taken a step back, we had new snow in last three days in row and its freezing cold, it will get to -8 in few hours. Next week should get really warm and sunny, I hope the forecast is right. I've been listening to the birds and they're all about summer, loudest so far was two days ago. The warm weather will be here soon. I'm hoping for snow free forests at Beltane.

It's mid January und very mild this winter. For the past 4 years or so I am always cold *lol* but actually you can spend some gardening hours with jeans and a warm sweater. Was so funny talking to my brother living in Pntario, telling me how cold it was and showing me all the snow. his daughter is always indoors, I'd probably have to promis xbox time to get my kids back inside

Today was very windy. I think we have some colder weather coming.

Light snow that has melted in a day or so. I’ve only had to shovel snow over 5” once in Dec and chip a 1/2 inch ice last week. Continuously gray skies with 2-3 hour breaks at dawn. We had a red sunrise this morning & 2 inches snow 12 hours later. You could time it!

It rained overnight. Today was nice in the low 60's.

Eek. Our 2 inches became 5 over night and now it’s raining, tripling the weight. I just came in from slogging off my ramp and my coat & gloves are soaked thru & dripping. I’m not going out again until my coat dries. It’s dripping!! Its a mid January thaw - right on schedule - so the bees can get out to poop!

1/19 Edit: sigh 6” more over nite but it’s not raining. That’s good. I only got my sidewalk 1/2 done yesterday. Wet snow weighs like 7-8 pounds on a shovel... that’s every shovelful.

Cold, grey and rainy. Just a typical day in January, with temperatures mainly in the 50s.

The weather forecast says we’ll get snow today. Snow rarely sticks when it falls here, so the residents wish for you one nice large snowfall every year, but some years we don’t get it. Usually the entire town shuts down, or most of it and we enjoy a nice day indoors with family. But, today looks unhopeful for that. Snow isn’t sticking and the schools are not closed. Sigh, so I’m off to work as well..

We're hanging around here about up/below freezing point all the time. Sometimes a bit warmer. I wonder what's worse, no snow to melt when the spring comes or chemical salt to counter risky roads?
