Re: About the threefold law

I'm new to practicing witch craft but am an empath and have used that gift at times to gain people's trust and in doing so some bad things happened. Everyone has free will but sometimes that will can be bent. I had a friend pass away because of this.

In my 20's I made a lot of bad choices and becoming Wiccan is showing me more about being a conscious activist to use what I know for good to help heal not for my own personal gain.

I think there's a fine line between using and misusing empathy to gain someone's trust. If your using it to understand their feelings and reactions, in order to modify your own behavior appropriately, that's a very sensible approach. If your projecting behavior adjustments onto them, and making them change their behavior by doing so, that's really not ethical. But sometimes I think we get into situations where we feel like it's really our only choice.

Are empaths really able to change someone's behaviour?
I thought an empath can only help if the person is open to change and wants to do so in order to achieve a goal...
