There is something about Flamingos... I don't know why. I've always loved those birds. I'm not a crazy Flamingo person though but always happy and fascinated, when I spot them in a park or zoo.

I love my cats and always had one.

It's pretty hard? I just couldn't pick a favorite animal. They are all so wounderful creatures. There is a squirl living in our back yard and the other day a big bird walked past my kitchen window - a beautiful green woodpecker. I can't recall ever seeing one.. a magic moment.

I also like all in the family corvid, dragonflies, squirrels, hummingbirds, frogs or toads and horses.
Unfortunately I never been much of a dog person, had a bad experience as a child and colored my view of them for life I guess. Later in life a boyfriend and I did have a black lab once, his name was Chomper, he met a gruesome and untimely end and that was the end of me with dogs.
oh dear! NeverMoon reminded me of the insect world with the spider and I forgot my very important totem and favorite little creature  :anxious: Dragonfly, hope the spirit will not be angered.

I guess, my dear, its just to obviouse and your firefly knows just how important it is too you.

I saw a black woodpecker here once as well, even posted it back then. It was just as magical. I am pretty sure the woodpeckers are one of my signs. I habe seen three before, a white one when i was a child, a black one a few years ago and now a green one. I didn't even know we had those around here.

What are your favourite animals?

Post by RosieMoonflower »

Are we sure the green woodpecker wasn’t actually a hummingbird? I’ve seen a few hummingbirds that was I enthralled with. They use to visit our yard because of some sort of honeysuckle plant we had and I use watch love to watch them. I’ve also had a few come up super close to me when I was our gardening. I had red hair and I can only assume they came to is inspect to see if I was a giant flower.

SL - perfectly fine :fairy: no real errors :)
Rosie, this bird was quite big! I am sure it was a woodpecker. (Trying to think of something that could discribe it... I'd say about 18cm, google says thats 7 inches)

Exactly! And his colours were so bright!
We don't have snow here where I live, but still, it wasnt just a green bird on the green gras, he was glowing green and red.

There's been theory that all people look in face like some kind of animal. What do you think about it?

I know a wizard who looks like river otter to me. I think it might upset him if I tell him, but why? Not much use if everyone wants to be a tiger or lion... River otter is actually great for it is with water which is great for magic.

Brand new here, so I thought I'd share a little on this thread...

For me, I absolutely love cats!!! I'm also incredibly partial to squirrels, opposum, fox (these are so special to me as a personal omen along my path), and coyote.
