Sad news about water conservation in California

Post by MsMollimizz »

I was born in California, spent a lot of time here off and on...
This drought has me upset, this state needs all the water we can
get our hands on ! Tonight on news I saw a local town had to
repair a pipe in reservoir, so what do they do ? They released
10,000 gal of water into the drain to go out to the sea, not
into our aqueduct where it can be used...my apologies this
isn't the purpose of this thread, but this water loss bugs me !
Okay, California and a new drought state law ! Grrrr...
All apartment complexes are required, by law to tear out
the grass, bushes, and TREES ! We have well established ones
and blast it how many people that use to come out in the evening
after the heat cools off some, won't come out after this ?
No grass, no bushes, no trees do you have some idea on how
this is going to effect the surrounding area ? Dry heat is bad
enough when there's no humidity in this desert !
"We" might get some rain tomorrow or the next, so I think
I'm going to try and get some moisture here by doing a rain
dance.
I've wondered about the flooding out in the rest of the U.S.
it we could pump some of that into tankers and bring it to
the drought areas in their aqueducts ? Is it possible ? Anyone
have any "wild" ideas on how to help this drought ? I don't
care how silly, we could all use a good laugh !

Kassandra, i know that might have been a joke, but we might organize a time for rituals... Kind of a coordinated thing. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't hurt.
So with thy all; thou hast no right but to do thy will.
Do that, and no other shall say nay.
For pure will, unassuaged of purpose, delivered from the lust of result, is every way perfect.

Your assumption is incorrect, random417. I was totally serious, actually. Because my wording was brief, doesn't mean I meant it as a joke.

Fair enough, and i do like the idea, enough to actually coordinate distance rituals. I'll check astrological data and pick a time, then make a post here (and another couple places), see who's in.

We are just coming out of dark moon so sometime this week? ...thursday might be best associated with water? In kin with Venus?...random, do let us know.... planetarily speaking, (totally not my strong spot)
I think I posted about the dance too and what we used, I'll have to go look....

I have sooooo much sword fern (probably why I picked it in the first place, *shrug*),..
..but I think any kind of fern frond will work. :fairy:

I feel your pain. I lived in AZ most of my life and we would go months without rain. There's been a drought in some areas there for over four years.
I started trying to work with Kokopelli because I wanted someone who was somewhat local and understood the terrain.

I'm a low energy person. Kokopelli is a super high energy, whacky god. Bringing rain is a super high energy thing to do in the desert. It requires a bunch of air movement (because in the desert it's almost always fast and heard) and it's just hard core. After two days, I felt completely worn out and we only got a lot of wind and a little rain. Typical.

BUT, if you have a lot of people and energy, Kokopelli is your guy. :)
