Tip for Stressed Plants!

Post by IsaacIcarus »

Do NOT fertilize stressed plants! The fertilizer will cause rapid growth in the plant which means less resources are available for the plant to fight pests/diseases. Remove damaged/infected parts properly and carefully but let the plant grow and heal itself slowly. Fertilizer does not increase rate of or capacity to photosynthesize, either. Here's the website of the man who did the research behind this. http://www.oardc.ohio-state.edu/hermsla ... 2/Home.htm

I couldn't find the specific study but I just saw him present on the subject and it totally blew my mind so I thought I would share this useful info with all of you.
