Binaural beats and isochronic tones?

Do these things really work for opening (or helping along) the third eye?
I have been working hard to get my third eye open, after reading up on it I started doing the exercises, and found these tones on YouTube one day. But do they actually work?

One traditional method for inducing an initiatory experience uses rhythmic sound, so thousands of years of history would suggest there's something to it. I haven't personally tried YouTube vids of this nature, but I know from experience that chanting so that the nasal cavities hum is effective. That's sound vibration up close & literally in your face . I think the pineal gland gets stimulated.
