Seeing blackness in someone's eyes

So I've been developing something I notice I'm sensitive to and that is the realm of the eye and sight. With certain people I notice when I look into their eyes I feel an intimate connection and I can feel their true nature. This seems to happen mostly with people that have good hearts and I can feel it. Other times I have felt lower emotions in other people through their eyes like malice(I noticed one of my professors eyes glinting with malice when he looks at me and I have a hunch why but it's not important to the topic).

Now I have noticed another guy that lives in the same house I do have almost... His eyes are like black holes. It's like I can look forever and not see any trace of heart at all. Also his aura is very heavy and unpleasant.

Obviously I'm not giving this guy the time of day for anything because of how I see nothing but blackness in his eyes.

But my question is what could this mean? Have you ever encountered someone with eyes like black holes?

Am I right in going about this as I should? (By not associating with him)

What are you thoughts?

I think these types are sociopaths or psychopaths, it would seem their souls are damaged somehow and there is nothing to see in their eyes.
And Yes...I also suggest not associating with them as much as possible, which is hard for someone who's empathetic, because we'll see the human in them. They will likely have a story that is tragic to get your empathy. When they are crossed, those black holes flair up like vortexs to a tarry abyss, then watch out. Because they do not care about you or your feelings, they are also above the law and extremely smooth talkers. They might try to murder you and then make it look like they were doing it in self defense. No, those with black eyes scare me. Are you safe in your house?
That would suck to have a professor like this. He sounds like a challenge.

I agree that you should stay away from these people. I will go further then Firebird. Can you leave the house for new quarters? Let the prison pshycologist be the one who tries to put love in his heart. You be the one who's far enough away that you can say on the news - "He was always quiet until we heard the chainsaw cutting through Mr. Smith's door. God rest his soul."

Well my college professor doesn't have black holes in his eyes, he just looks at me and I can see malice. I'm figuring he's a closet racist based off of his ideologies.

And I'm safe where I live I'm not gonna get attacked by him, but I should mention this guy did 20 years in prison so his view of the world is very different than mine. He wouldn't risk going back to jail tho.

I know what you mean by knowing someone is evil. I get that too with certain people.
I personally wouldn't move because of him. There are people like this everywhere. You don't have to come in contact with this one, he's only your neighbor. You just greet him politely and make small talk in the elevator, that's all. Just don't start any closer relationship, don't go for beer or invite him for coffee and that's all.
I can totally relate to the repulsion you feel! It's almost like two magnets with the same pole, at least for me... I just can't stand being in their presence

i agree with firebird, its wise to stay away and maybe keep up a shield so they dont notice you as a potential source for energy sucking.
i'm not as good as seeingthe dark eyes but with some people i can feel like a void staring back at me... gives me the chills

Most of these types are volatile, and you will not even have a clue as to what will set them off, could be as simple as "dude, could you please keep the door shut when the air conditioner is on?" Jail changes a person though. If they were messed up when they went in, I guarantee you they will not be rehabilitated when they get out. Most are angry and some even mess up just so they can go back.

Jim Butcher describes a soul gaze in his Dresden Files series. What's happening to you, sounds very similar. I would avoid people whose eyes are unsettling. In the case of your professor, maintain a professional student attitude. Alert, interested in the subject matter, but not overly friendly.

Trust your intuition. Worst thing you can do is to dismiss it.

I haven't seen black holes in someone's eyes directly but sometimes these things may come through after I've interacted with such person! One of these happened after an abusive friendship with someone, although they once told me that they feel as if I can see everything... whether it was about herself or me ultimately.

As a kid though I did sense one of my peers emanating a darker aura on his surroundings and while I dismissed it as "perhaps I've watched too much tv and my imagination is running wild as result?"

Nowadays, my envy towards those people who get to hurt others and simply get away with it has eaten my ability to see into others. I started feeling that being a do-gooder isn't rewarding aside from spiritual advancement.

Know that professors are challenged a lot. They are trained to push limits, to always defend themselves or rework their position when they are defeated. It is an intellectually tough world and it shapes the person. But it may be different in different fields.

Not to discredit your intuition, just my experience of meeting professors.

About people in general: I think there is tranquil dark, and evil dark. The first one is mastered and requires skill and maturity and ability to be more selfless (or the darkness will consume you). The second is based on simple-minded selfishness, greed etc, and the darkness consumes the person.

Some people have to live in darkness, but it does not determine the core character. But stay away if unsure.

I would also recommend not showing your feelings toward the neighbor. Sometimes evil people don't take it well if they realize someone *sees* them. Keep it superficial, light and polite, with a sense of distance.

All good advice. As an update I dont even talk to the guy anymore. He tried to intimidate me into giving him money.

Whoo boy it was kinda interesting. I showed my greatness when I told him no and he backed down rather quickly.
