Making Brigid's Crosses

Post by Firebird »

We made our annual Brigid's crosses for the Imbolc ceremony.
They are used to bring protection to the home.
We traditionally burn last years, transmuting any negative energy the cross absorbed.
Here's some we made...these are crafted a little different than the common ones

A bit like Palm Sunday. Get the new palms, turn in the old ones, which are burned to make the ashes for Ash Wednesday of the following year. I amazed that I even remember that.
