Working and spending a few hours on the road. I have patient visits in Longmont and Frederick that day. I'll settle for not having 8 inches of snow like two weeks ago.

Got a gal who will have done her year and a day and will make her 1st degree this Imbolc. We'll drop her off for vision quest, then to the initiation, and dinner after. Next day we will do a public Imbolc ceremony, it's gonna be a busy weekend.
On the actual day I will go for a hike.

Wishing you good roads Snow ! (Although we're in for a doozie here in the next several days which usually translates your way.) Hope not.

You're plans sound way better than mine. I was just going to see if I have a candle to light, and then pray longer. Wish I could do the actual year and a day.

Imbolc is the perfect time to dedicate, why not start then?

I just don't know how, plus I have school. And no physical people around to encourage. Maybe if I got my AP down, I could be there astrally with others

I plan on doing the spring cleaning on the day before, and on the Imboloc to light a candle, pray, ask for protection and maybe cast a protection spell too. (That, it I manage to wrote one untill then)

Firesage, I like the idea of an astral projection holiday meeting ;-)

now, now. ..that seems like an excuse :P

I made this thread for an easy way to get connected. http://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum ... 29836.html
Read ahead, For some reason I didn't get around to speaking about Imbolc untill the 14th of the month.
I believe there are self dedication rituals around here somewhere. Try the search feature.

I have reconsecrated my tools & altar annually at Imbolc.

Back in the day, I'd written a pledge to walk the path asking the aid of my preferred Matron, & made some incense, then went out in the woods to call on nature as my witness. I didn't count on a thunderstorm, but followed through anyhow. When you're determined, nothing will stop you. (um, not that I'm a great example...it's just if you want it, you do it.)

A year and a day is a little different for everyone- it doesn't have to be super formal if you don't want it to be!
If you want to, you could start your own blog on the forum and document your thoughts on your journey for us to share and we can give you feedback on it. It can kinda be a way to stay interactive and be held accountable.

As for myself, Imbolc will probably be celebrated a day early in my house (my only day off). I like to clean on the holiday to get it started, I feel more spiritual in a clean home.
Then, I think my husband and I will decorate some of the pots that we bought from home depot as a way to look forward to the spring and the gains that we will eventually make for ourselves.
