You seem very interested in all this.
It's been my experience that many folks want to be filled with esoteric knowledge like yesterday.
Trying to stuff it all in too fast may lead to burn out or over whelm. I think that's why a year and a day.
School is important though, when do you graduate?

Joining the service?
They recognize Wicca and paganism nowadays as something that can be stamped on your dog tags and tombstone (not that you'll need the latter for a looooong while)

As a person who wants to understand and work on generally Paganism, I have some plans and I am sure that it will be different from how I used to spend my time normally. I will go a kind of park (for seeing swans and meditate a bit). Actually I had no idea, so I read some articles about how should I celebrate Imbolc. According to them, I will light candles (I am in love with vanillia, so they will be vanillia scented candles). Tomorrow my holiday will start, so I am going to bring some food to the cats& dogs (there are a lot of them, and they are on the street. And here's so, so cold.)
And sounds fun, but I think that I will listen chants and songs about Imbolc (I found a playlist) and eat sunflower seeds. Also I think that It will be nice if I make healing spells for my friends (one of them are - mentally- feels bad) . Writing nice poems and stories etc.

I will be doing my usual nursing visits, plus covering an evening visit for another nurse. The evening visit is something of an odd synchronicity for me. Imbolc will be 41 years since my dad died. His name was Bill Robinson. The patient that I'm seeing is Willie Robinson. That didn't even register when I signed up to cover the visit. I feel like I'm getting more little signs lately.

I really like making candles for Imbolc.

cool, my dads were Navy guys. Yea...boot camp will put a crimp in study. Yet I encourage you to stay curious, what religion do you think you will attach on your dog tag?

that gave me chills, I think this visit may have a message. Be on the look out !

I think I'm getting lots of messages lately. Willie is one of my regulars. I just don't usually do his evening visit. But besides that, I have been having more raptor sightings. Bald eagles, Ferruginous hawks, and something else that I couldn't identify. I feel like Horus is calling to me, but I don't know why. Yet.

LoL...Ooops.
Ya know, the way I look at holidays and moons there is much sway like the tides,
holidays especially ..they feel like small seasons of celebration lasting several days in some cases.
You could light a candle and call it good :D
