Mint & Salt cleansing bath!
Hi, I want to share something I done to cleanse myself from negativity, I took a bit of dried mint I had and boiled it with salt, I let it cool a bit (CAREFUL YOU DON'T WANT TO BURN YOURSELF) when you see the water is ok on your skin, take it, and spill it from the top of your head, now rub yourself, and wash away the whole stuff, now continue your bath normally, with your foam bath and shampoo, I feel clean and better and somehow POWERFUL! Yom the idea of salt I took it from you, mint is what I added because I know its purifying.... tell me your thoughts!

I have an organic mint oil that I bathe with before major spells and that's what this reminds me of. Very good idea!
From this idea, you could also soak a cloth and place on your chest or face if you are burning up with a fever or have really bad allergies. The mint releases you from the fever and the salt soaks up the nasty that is attacking you.
(Depending on type of fever you might want to soak it, then put it in the fridge for a couple minutes to make it chilly)
I love mint. I feel closely connected to it so I use it in many of my daily rituals and I drink mint tea on the regular. It helps with daily health and wellness. (And I have really bad allergies and it's a life saver!)

I feel like trying this out today. The only thing I'm going to change or add is a few drops of myrrh if I can't find mint, and also some flowers as a offering to the gods.
I'll also saturate my bath with chants and blessings.
I'll report back here!
Love,
Y0m

I feel like a newborn baby! BEST BATH EVER!! HAHA
My ingredients used:
- about 2 cups ultra epsom salt (LOTS of awesome minerals in it)
- about 4 hand fulls of large grain water softener salt.. naturally harvested by sun and wind.
- dash of sea salt for luck
- about one cup apple cider vineger
- one "bunch" of cherry blossom flowers and buds
- one "bunch" of white cherry blossom flowers and buds
- 10-15 drops of Myrrh essential oil
- 15-20 drops of Amber essential oil
- large zip lock bag for mixing salts and flowers
- large cooking spoon for mixing water
- bodhi seed mala for blessing ingredients
Procedures:
1) Drink plenty of water to clear out system. Peeing often.
2) Mix salts and flowers in large zip lock bag. getting out all clumps
3) bless mixture. I used my mala to help me chant "Aum Namah Shivaya" a total of 3 japa round (or 324 times).
4) Do some yoga to get your body ready for heavenly goodness
5) Run bath water with only hot water leaving a little room to add more.
6) Poor in bag of salt mixture mixing with large spoon.
7) Add cold water so you can get in, adding vineger, amber, and myrrh while the water runs.
8)Mix well.
9) Take bath for 15-20 Minutes. Use fresh wash cloth to place on face and wipe body down.
10) Finish with a nice cool shower, drying off with a fresh towel.
There you have it! Sorry for threadjacking I just didn't see the need for another thread on the subject. This was by far the best bath I've ever taken. It was hard to stay in the water for the full 20 minutes but the cool shower was very liberating.
Namaste,
Y0m

It is interesting to read that Mint helped in this manner.
In India, we customarily bathe children with water in which some aromatic plants have been boiled for a while, while they are recovering from Measles and Chicken pox (which we are seeing less of now, because of availability of vaccines).
We use the leaves of Tulsi, Neem, Hazaar mogri (a kind of Jasmine), Parijatak (Nyctanthus) and Adulsa.
This herbal bath is given on the 7th day of the illness and only then is the child allowed to venture out of its home!
