Bath Salts.

Post by JBRaven »

My friend "Lo-Lo" got me into making my own "spa" items.

Bath salts are pampering and relaxing in a bath. I make my own for cleansing the body before ritual also. Very cost effective. A bag of Epsom salt is cheaper than sea salt, though I like Dead sea salt better. A 25 lb. bag averages around $45. But I am sure you can find cheaper.

For the oils, use whatever oils correspond to you ritual or goal. For ritual cleansing I normally use Sage, Rosemary, and Lilac. But it is really up to you.

You can use food coloring to dye the salts, I choose not to because I have allergies to food coloring and don't know if it will stain the water basin.

Recipe

2 cups Epsom Salt or Dead Sea Salt or 1 cup of each (Do not use table salt they will dry out skin)
1-2 teaspoons of baking soda
8-12 drops of essential oil (depending on preference and skin type)

Mix and stir for two mins to really coat all the salts.

Simple I know. There are many recipes on many websites, so experiment.
