It looks like agate. I'm not familiar enough with pink agate to really be able to tell from the pictures.

Based on the exterior and the pattern on the inside, I would say it looks like a hunk of petrified wood.

The outside of this, texture, reminds me of Tourmaline...
There's one "rock shop" in Victorville and its a hit or miss
when trying to find them open. I had a bunch of "Gem Trails"
books on hold at Library, the Librarian asked me if I've gone
to a shop in my town ? I didn't know there was one here !
I tried to call VV shop to see if they knew the name of this
store here. The hours stating in recording they should have
been open to answer the phone, no luck...sad.

Are there ever any rock and mineral shows in the area? The guys that frequent to see are usually a good resource.
