Crystal Identification Help

Post by Silversong »

A'ight, so I know I haven't posted in a while, but I could use a little assistance.

A while back, an Internet friend of mine got a lovely little dragon. We're pretty sure he's crystal and not glass, but not totally sure, and none of us can figure out what he's made of. I've seen the material before and more frequently of late, and finally got curious enough to ask about it.

This is him. This pic doesn't really show off the iridescence, but he changes colors depending what light he's in and is slightly more transparent than he looks in this.

Anyone know what this is?

My first thought is angel aura quartz. It's manmade but still beautiful. But I'm not 100% sure...

I know this one as opalite, frequently passed off as moonstone, but really man made glass. Beautiful, but not made by the earth. I got an egg about 20 years ago when they first appearing on the scene. Read on....

My first guess was moonstone, but I'm not familiar with opalite at all.
That is super pretty, though.

As Spirit Talker mentioned it is reformed silica and crystals are silica based so it should carry out a crystal kind of energy. :fairy:
