Books about Crystals & Gemstones

Post by MysticDreamFaerie »

I need to find a really good book about Crystals & Gemstones. How to work with them, the names of Crystals and how to cleanse your Crystals. I own several crystals and gemstones but I haven't worked with them yet. I'm a beginner with all of this and I need some recommendations on what books to purchase off of Amazon. Thanks! :flyingwitch:

I'm sorry if I'm annoying people with my questions but I'm a beginner to all of this. That's why I've been making a lot of threads lately. I don't want to waste my money on a book and it end up not having valid information. Sorry if I'm annoying anyone... :(

No you are not annoying, please don't think that at all.

You might find Scott Cunningham's encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem & Metal Magic interesting. I don't agree with it all but it has a good base of information.

Of course Judy Hall's Crystal Bibles also have a lot of information for a beginner, I don't like the programming ideas, to me that are unnecessary and wrong.

General information on crystals and minerals can be helpful too. Some crystals and minerals are more easily damaged than others, and might require different cleansing procedures. Knowing the origin of a particular crystal geologically can provide clues to its uses and benefits.

I agree totally on The Crystal Bible set (books 1, 2, and 3).
A very nice little paperback is "Crystal Wisdom" by Dolfyn.

Interesting recommendations!
As a teenager i baught a little soft cover book about gems. It only has "a few" stones (the basic ones and some fancy stones) and one picture per stone.
When i baught some tumbled stones last year i had a terribly hard time finding out what they were. MY book was no help at all.

I hope you have better luck .

For information i mainly use pinterest and then google if i need more.
