I got a mixed bag of stones from my gem lady on the weekend for $5. I managed to identify most of them, but I'm stuck on two! I have tried google and still can't figure out what they are.
I took two different photos of the green one which I suspect to be some kind of chalcedony? And I think the blue one is some kind of agate or possibly blue calcite?

The blue one looks like it could be blue lace agate. In my very in expert opinion.

The green one may be jade but I'm not completely positive
Re: Need help identifying these stones!
Or serpentine perhaps?
Re: Need help identifying these stones!
The closest thing i can get to the green one is Peridot it's probably not it but it's close what I recommend is doing a mohs hardness test (you can google it online) it shows the hardness of a stone with each stone having its own hardness (its a scale of hardness 1-10) you can further narrow your search like you said if it is jade like Tiffanyrae said it should have a hardness of 7 meaning it can scratch anything glass, peridot like I said is a hardness 6.5 and the rock should be scratch by a steal file. Best luck to you in identifying the stones!

It's also possible these two mat be dyed quartz or agate. Not saying they are........

Thanks everyone. Still not 100% sure what they are. @Fantasia that's a good idea I didn't think of that! @E.E I had considered this. Totally possible. I may even take them back to my crystal lady and ask her what they are [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]
