I need to clean up the forum and delete old threads. If you've been here a long time, say, before 2016, it's a good idea to look through your pre-2016 posts and bump anything that you want us to keep. This will mostly apply to personal posts such as your introduction, member photos, pet photos, etc. It may also apply to other stuff you think is important enough to keep, but please don't keep it just because you posted it. Keep in mind that 100 other people probably posted the same basic thing you did.
This could affect your post count and I'm sorry for that. It will affect mine too (I don't mind. I had to start a new account halfway through the life of the forum. I lost thousands of posts from my count when I did that.)
I'll also be deleting unused accounts, so if you've been lurking around without posting anything and you want to keep your account for some reason (you don't need one really, unless you like PM'ing people,) I suggest you start posting soon.
Does this mean also that whatever topic where last post is from 2020 ... and also 2019? are going to survive without bumping, or are 2019 going to undergo the clean up as well?
For example all where I posted are 2019 and later, does it mean all those topics will survive?

I think old Topics with posts added after 2016 are safe.
I’ve taken a liberty of reading the pre-2016 book reviews and crystal sections and bumping what I’d hate to lose of older posts ... I counted 20 topics. They aren’t redundant. Some of their OPs aren’t around any more to salvage them. So I hope that was OK.
Starwitch, will this be across the board or forum by forum? The Spell forum is very full and I'm not sure I will be able to determine how many are worth saving.
Thanks, FF
I bumped a witch’s dozen pre-16 spells & was going to keep going in other topics and thought I’d better ask ... would it be logical that if the pre-16 posts are still here then the wipe hasn’t happened yet, so keep bumping while there’s still time?
And I don’t want to cause more work or something for the folks doing the changes.
This topic here was posted Apr 6. I’m confused with Apr 2.
My threads are very safe as I haven't been here for that long... But I should go on a digging spree in the old threads, I know there's a lot of good stuff I have read which I would want to be saved.
This post suggesting bumping is dated Apr 6.... but in the Forum Has Been Updated post “it wasn’t necessary to delete a bunch of posts” was dated Apr 2. So on the 2nd it was not necessary to delete posts and on the 6th we should bump to save. OK. I’ve already bumped a bunch. So Apr 2nd’s info must have changed by the 6th.
It's just a good idea to dig any good stuff out of the muck, so you did a good thing if you bumped helpful threads. It could take me a long time to actually get in there and delete the old stuff. It's not the emergency situation I thought it was, but I'd still like to do it at some point. So I appreciate you guys moving the good stuff you found up to the top. I'll do the same with any good ones I find.
As for the spells, I probably won't delete stuff from that forum. If I do, I'll probably go through them one by one and delete the stuff that didn't get responses and just trash like that. I won't delete anything that has any actual spells in it.
Houston, we have problem
there are many pages within like this, viewtopic.php?f=80&t=27774
that have links to pages within the forum.
Kassandra for instance has lots of lovely posts linking one elsewhere in the forum.
Since the update, None of them work.
Try one in that table of contents...takes you to a lavender 404 page with the black cat, "page not found"
here's one I fixed viewtopic.php?f=80&t=27774
but I can't imagine trying to go through the whole forum to fix them
Can this be fixed?
Thanks, Firebird
