Blessings of a gift

How much do you work with the witchcraft saying that when something is given to you, it becomes blessed by that goodwill?
For instance let's say there are some sweets containing palm oil thus unhealthy food, however if someone gives it to you as a gift, it might get blessed so much that it actually becomes healthy to you via essence transmission.

I know this phenomenon works a lot for me, both with things being blessed and cursed.

What is your experience with this?

I had a friend that got pretty ill eating bread, yet when she consumed it within the scared circle as part of the cakes and ale portion of the eve, it didn't seem to bother her. She also declared that it would be safe to consume during the rite, so I don't know if her saying it would be fine to consume or the fact we were in sacred space that made it fine or that she had declared it within the sacred space that made it so. This would be a gift of the Gods I would say.
Not really sure how you would gage such a thing though. I would want to see data.
