I got a new book...

I couldn't help it, I just had to have a copy of "The Witch's Mirror" by Mickie Mueller...
I also ordered a black mirror that came with silk bag and stand, all at an awesome price.
I got 2/3 thru the book when I had to stop and copy down lots of the yummy info I read,
Little bits and pieces of info, lore, and recipes are all thru the book so far and its loaded !

I used the last Blue Moon to capture Blue Moon energy in the black mirror, then I captured
the Blue Moon image in the mirrors of my Camel compact to be used at a later time.
(dinner is about done, so I'll come back and finish this tonight)
I activated both mirrors with a "wash" of mugwort water and dried the black mirror after
dropping a drip or two of water to cut the film; the Camel compact didn't need additional
water drips cause it dried clean.
Home-made spell coming !

About 10pm Saturday eve I started writing this little jig, at 11pm it was done with a minor
re-write to rhyme
Gathering Blue Moon Energy
I come to you this very night,
That I may gather Blue Moon light.
Its reflection I will keep,
Safely in here, it may sleep.
Until the time of my need,
Blue Moon energy fulfill my needs.

LOL, I've got 10 pages marked cause I want to copy info on those pages.
Good thing I got the book since there's a lot more info in it than I'm prepared
to copy down with these hands !
I bought my copy from the author in her store on etsy.com, it came with a
fabric bookmark, and a small mirror with cool Raven pic on other side; kind
of like the books cover art, hand done by Mickie.
After I used the mugwort wash on the black mirror I looked into it for the
first time...I was already seeing images coming thru ! I did not expect to see
any images in it that quick, if any.
This was a curiosity purchase to increase my knowledge in different divinations.
Of coarse I had to have the mirror...I originally purchased a 4in one with a small
chip that was created on last Samhain. Unfortunately the mirror slipped and shattered,
she offered me my choice of ANY in her shop, I choose one the same size & price to be
fair.
After reading part of the book so far, I believe I want to get a concave mirror next...
This is well worth what I paid for it, besides Mickie also did my Goddess flag over
my alter. Mickie is so easy to talk to thru her "store", she usually answers by the next
day. I couldn't re-find the mugwort recipe in the book and asked her if she remembered
where it was. I received an answer from her telling me a few page numbers and her
reminding me to go with my gut on this.
I thought I had enough time before the meat came out of the oven-sorry !
Inside the book she wrote (paraphrasing) "Remember the most powerful witch
is the one you see in the mirror !" I thought that was cool of her...
Okay Gentle People, that's it for my "story" for now...

Black mirrors I always found intriguing, considering their use was also for not only divination/scrying but also for Goetic Evocation.

I don't know about using them for evocation...
but a different book I'm thinking about getting
refers to conversing with those on the other side.
I like to always have at least 2 books on subject,
or by author...
I'm just waiting on getting more survey points
to get an amazon gift card to get that book.
