Moon and Sun worship?

Post by EndlessNameless »

Does any have any information on Moon and Sun worship? That isn't about deities? I've tried looking around but haven't found much. Thank you!

Yea, I imagine the sun is usually equated to some god and the moon to a goddess.
You could focus on the energies that the orbs represent.
Like Sun being warm and the grower of foods, its power to illumate, how it also has it's waxing and waning time, strength in summer and more subdued in winter.
The Moon being cool and reflective, mysterious by being elusive, bold in a moment then hidden in another, taking time out to once a month to perhaps recharge then appear again.
Maybe write down what each means to you and then honor those qualities.
perhaps someone else has ideas....?

You could also look up moon phases and moon magick, as well as astrological magick relating to the sun.
I'm a spiteful, hateful, venomous creature, a pupil with no scruples who's no better then my teacher. Also not actually a raven.

I refer to the sun as Father Sun, and the moon is Grandmother Moon. I have no idea why. That's just how they feel to me.

My mom used to tell me there were rabbits in the moon making rice balls. I'd stare and stare and say, "I don't see no rabbits!" lol And I'd imagine their little paws struggling to form rice balls, what with no opposable thumbs and all (why do parents tell their kids things like this?! haha)

I don't do sun worship, but I do a moon ritual every month, for me it isn't a "diety" but instead a "Goddess" ritual, but that's just my distinction. When I was researching it, I looked for full moon rituals and found a lot of moon worship info, maybe try that?
