Are holy seals real?
The tears we cry are the scars we bear.
May we bear them with pride, for they tell the story of who we are and where we have been.
BLESSED BE!

.
It looks like people have answered this question already on the other thread you mentioned, and this is a double post. You might want to read over their responses over there. Sometimes it takes a day or two for people to think of responses to peoples' questions. Or, people might be busy, but then post a response when they get the chance to sit down and get online. So, be patient with people, and maybe not double post like this in the future. What ends up happening is people post similar responses on both threads, or one thread will get ignored and the other thread will have tons of posts, things like that.
Regarding Catholicism, I really don't know much about that. Ha, my dad never made me go to mass --he gets points for that! I do know they are known to practice a lot of "protective measures," so the holy seal stuff wouldn't surprise me one bit. There are even divisions of the priesthood that provide exorcism training for their priests, and so forth. Apparently, they take their protection very seriously.
Thanks.

Re: Are holy seals real?
Holy seals I know as Selkies
in Italy I recommend church of St. Medard in Arcevia
there is painting of God and it captures bit of his essence.
Spells cast on churches is interesting topic but witcheries of medieval times are hard to retrace
J.A. West in Serpent in the sky High wisdom of Ancient Egypt mentioned some travellers from Egypt in centuries from 11th to 14th to have built cathedrals in Europe with very intriguing mystical vibe.
