When a spell is interrupted

Post by Hellakinetic »

I cast a spell invoking the powers of St. Expedite, which requires you to set up and alter to him on a Wednesday. From then on, you're supposed to recite an incantation every day until your situation has been sufficiently expedited. Well, I set the altar up last Wednesday and my belligerent puppy has pulled it down off of it's shelf. What should I do? Should I set it up immediately to avoid any further energy disconnect or should I just recast on Wednesday?

.

I vote restart on Wednesday, and use a wall shelf this time, either an existing one in the house, or go buy a small shelf (or use some scrap wood you might have around the house, and just buy the brackets if you don't already have those), and install it.

However, I have come across the view that if one's spell is disrupted in that way, like say his statue falls off the shelf or something, then that means the answer is a no, it's not meant to be, and the working should no longer continue.

It's up to what your instinct tells you to do in the end, I guess.

I would restart as well. I see spells similar to baking. If I drop a bowl of cake batter I don't scoop up what I can and drop it in a pan to cook, I throw it away and begin again.

But at the end of the day it's your call. :)
