Do you find pendulum accurate?

I read somewhere that the best tool for yes/no questions is the pendulum. So today I made one for myself out of a silver chain and a bead, cleansed it with white sage incense, showed the movements and then started asking warm up questions. Like: show me yes, show me no, are you accurate...stuff like that,. and it kept coming with the correct answer. So I decided it might be just me unconsciously moving my hand. So I decided to put it through on an other test. I took two pieces of chess (black and white), hid them in a bag, got one piece out of the bag, holding it in my fist and asked the following question: "is it a black piece in my hand?"
I done this three times and here is the result:
YES - the piece was black
YES - the piece was black
NO - the piece was white.
So all correct.

I am still not sure. Do you use pendulums and do you find it accurate?
Can I use it for personal questions?

Yes you can use it for a personal question. If they were all correct why are you still questioning it?

I question it because I showed it to my friend (practised with the chess pieces, 19/20 correct) and she said it was just luck...

Well anything magical can be chalked up to luck; very good luck that happens a lot. Don't let your friends talk you out of your faith in your craft.

19 correct out of 20 sounds pretty good to me. that is clearly above average and definately above the 50/50.

I love pendulums! : ) They are wonderful for personal yes/no questions, and I agree with the others! I have a hard time sometimes using it, your mind has to be completely focused on the question and I have a problem with wanting it to tell me, yes, even though I'm focusing on the question. It will still tell me yes because I was leaning for that. So, my only advice and it seems like you are already pretty much focused, but keep complete focus on your question :D

It is very easy to convince ourselves that what we are experiencing is not real when dealing with spiritual matters. Our society convinces us that magick doesn't exist. But as others have stated that when you have the proof right there in front of you, you have to go with it. Don't let other people convince you any differently. Pendelums work very well, and I have had great success with them.

Right now, my BOS is a word document, but once I find a suitable book (I'm really picky, I plan to pass it down if not to my kids than to other witches, so I want a nice leather bound book) then I'll copy it down by hand. It's currently 71 pages long and still growing!
I have a table of contents that reads as follows: (with notes in parentheses)

I. The ways of the witches (this is informational, teaching my kids/future witches)
A. Principles (basically, what witchcraft is and how it works)
B. Tools (explaining what you use and why)
C. Practices (explaining terms like invocation, hex, circle-casting, etc)
II. Energy work
III. Rituals
IV. Spells and Enchantments
A. Magics of healing
B. Glamour magics
C. Love and Sex magics
D. Banishment and Protection magic
E. Hexes and curses
V. High magic
A. Hymns, Invocations & Evocations
B. God & Goddess lore
C. Dedication ritual
VI. Seals and Sigils
VII. Potion Brewing
VIII. Book of Days
A. Sabbat rituals and Festivals
B. Full and dark moon rituals
C. Eclipses
D. Witchening (think Christening or Wiccening)
E. Bloodseed ceremony (a coming-of-age ritual)
F. Handfasting (a marriage ceremony)
G. The Passing (funerary ceremony regarding reincarnation)
IX. Book of Hours (from the key of soloman; times of day and moon for magic)
X. Book of Mirrors
A. Shadow work (meditation results etc)
B. Oneiromancy (dream reading)
C. Divination readings
D. Past lives
XI. Spirit magics and the Otherworld
A. Angel & Demon magic (summoning, conjuring etc)
B. Spirits of the deceased
C. Nature spirits
XII. Inheritance (messages for or about descendents/ancestors)
