I wish this small apartment would allow me to have a bigger alter than what I'm using.
I am at the moment using the top shelf of a desk for my alter, 8in x 30in. Three shelves off to the side hold my tarot cards and such...

that doesn't sound bad! a little small, sure, but i'm sure if you put your mind to it you'd be able to rearrange things to make more space! Also..you don't need to keep everything in your alter, you could keep the most important objects there and then other objects in a basket near it.

So true. I have to write that down!

Also, beautiful altar!
This topic is really making me want to go build myself an altar.
My dresser is fine for now though, until I move out!! (: Totally gonna make one then :D

:) Very nice altar! I'm not looking for something as fancy and advanced as that, just something simple, but excellent work with yours!!

(You're getting the most praise here between your signature and your magnificent altar XD)

I found a blueprint for building an altar in Buckland's complete book of witchcraft, it's on page 33 of the second edition revised and expanded 2010, it's a great big blue book like textbook sized but skinny and its a paperback. IDK if other printings have the blue print but it's likely :)
This is what I am, here is where I remove my mask.

I have that one, Bucklands. I use to belong to swaptree.com and it was the only book I wanted to trade my Mysteries of Isis with, 2nd copy on my bookshelf. I don't have any other of his books cause I think he's too dry for my taste. Main reason I took
it cause it had a pattern for a robe (I think?) anyway I have
a robe my Mommy sewed for me before she went south.
