My Pendulum has a personality? o_O

I just wanted to know if this is my imagination or something. I got my Pendulum a couple months ago. It was the first on a picked up and asked if it wanted to be with me, right off the bat it showed me "yes" I then checked with all the other pendulums, all of them said "no" so I went and checked with my pendulum one more time to make sure and this time it showed me "maybe" and I got a strong sense that it was giving off a bitter/jealous energy.

When I got into my car, or maybe a bit earlier while I was walking, I got the image of a man, brown hair, fair skin sitting on a rock in the woods next to a small pond, in the nude with only a robe loosely over him. Anyways when I pictured this i'd been thinking about, and holding my pendulum, and I got the strong sensation I was seeing my pendulum, (i know how strange it sounds ><) So when I got home I was curious and asked it it's gender through some "yes" "no" questions. I found out it was a male. I also found out that It doesn't like my Black Tourmaline AT ALL. It got angry with me or something and gave me fake answers, when I asked it a question I knew the answer too and it gave me the wrong one I asked if it was lying to me and it hesitated a "yes" Then through more questions I found out how it hates my Black Tourmaline. I also found out by asking it, that it has a vain, jealous personality.

Anyways I have this strong image in my head of my pendulum, either as a human or some kind of spirit, and it has such a strong personality... I just wanted to know if I'm just letting my imagination run wild here, or if Pendulums really can have personalities and 'forms', such as a human.

If it is a spirit, be careful! because if it was trapped in the pendulum it was a good reason, I don't want to sound dramatic, but do not endorse in make it come out of the pendulum.

Is there any way to find out? Like could I ask him to sow himself to me in my dreams and place him under my pillow? Or should I do some form of meditation with him i hand to see if he'll show himself to me again? I'm really curious about him. So it is rare if not impossible for a pendulum to have a personality and a form? So he must be some kind of spirit within the pendulum itself, whether he be trapped or using it to speak to me?

Personally I would cleanse the pendulum and try to move the *spirit* out. If this doe not happen I would get anothe one. If your pendulum is moody then you can not rely on it to do your will.

All of my divination tools are possessed by spirits. I prefer actual personalities because they are able to energetically express more than simply an answer. They communicate the entire situation and even offer an opinion.

When dealing with a jealous, controlling, or angry spirit within a pendulum, there are several methods. My personal favorite is to make an offering to the spirit before using the pendulum (it can be as simple as a prayer or something real like a piece of candy) then thank the spirit many times after you're done. Once you've shown your gratitude in this fashion a few times, the spirit will become faithful to you and trust you. If the spirit remains angry and unsettled, write again, and I can suggest an extraction that will not harm the spirit for you.

Thank you very much Krystal Raven. I don't really want to banish/extract him cause I don't think he means any harm, atleast I have no reason to think that yet, and the idea of my pendulum having a personality makes me feel like I'll be able to connect better with him if I can gain his loyalty.
If I gain some of his trust, I was wondering if there was a way I could go about learning his name? I was thinking maybe like getting a big sheet of paper and writing the alphabet in a circle and seeing what letters he points to? Would something like that work? Or is it better to try meditating and then asking if I get the opportunity?

Requesting his name is a way to honor him. He may play hard to get with you. Since he has chosen to inhabit a pendulum, your alphabet idea may just work! But don't be surprised if it takes a bit of time to actually get him to come out with it!!!!! Also, never apologize for questions!!!!!!!! <3 <3

So tonight I consulted him and asked for his to give me the letters of his first name. i explained how he would do it. I wrote the letters of the alphabet out in a circle, holding his near the center, I would watch his shadow and wait for it to touch a letter. If it was touching two (cause of a back and forth movement and the nature of a circle) i chose one letter and asked him to start a circle if it was the letter he was giving me.

The letters of his first name are
HCSRI

I asked it this was all the letters, he said Yes
I asked if these letters were a scramble of his first name that I had to figure out, he said Yes.
Then I asked if he was telling the truth to me, he said yes,
I asked if he swore it was the truth on the Goddess, he said yes.
Soooo now I get to unscramble the above and consult him on what his first name is =_=;;;

Cirsh?
Hircs?

lol so many possibilities, I honestly think he scrambled the letters just to toy with me. x)

I would go with Chris, I mean I'm not American but I think the other names aren't actually names, are they? oh plus if he can give you his surname (if he was a human before) you can find out who he was.

Its weird, Chris is also the name of someone whom i've been thinking of a lot and feel i might actually be falling for o_O. In fact I think i've always know Chris' or had them in my life... thats kinda weird lol

What would explain something like that? Does the name that we have define us so much that we are drawn to certain other names?

I'm not sure, but I've heard many times the name we are given can define us in many ways- spiritually, physically, (though, I don't know how that's possible...) mentally- For a personal example, my father wanted to name me after a goddess (The greek goddess Athena, to be more specific), But my mother didn't agree. She named me Miriam, and my father just had to deal... But, I'm not like any other Miriam's I've meet( they... all seem like clones >o<). My father calls me Athena, my friends do, basically everyone but my mother. Most of them will agree being 'connected' to the name probably changed me in more ways than one.

I believe that names can change people, although I do not know how, so it's never a big suprise when people are drawn to others with a specific name, or don't enjoy being around someone with another, entirely different name. It could very well be that he wants to be close to you, and is just using the name Chris to make you more comfortable. I'd say that's actually pretty nice, if that is the case.

Thats interesting =) I know that i've always felt we get two names in our lives. The one that we are given and the one we decide for ourselves. I see the changing of a name as a growing up process myself, the name our parents gives us defines our childhood, but if ever we choose to take on another name that we feel suits us better that's when we move on to adulthood. (i'm not talking little kid nicknames and stuff though I mean like a true name that you feel IS your name )

I know I will change my name when I am 18 to Fie because I know that's my true new name, the one that will define me and my art for the future.

And I agree, for me this whole thing with my pendulum has been a very good and interesting learning experience!!
