The Moon shifts into Cancer early, so today has a decidedly emotional flavor. There is a lot of flow today as the Moon interacts positively with both Neptune in Pisces and Mercury in Scorpio creating grand water trine that supports communication, healing and forgiveness. Incidentally, today Mercury moves out of it's shadow (pass the degree it went retrograde at the beginning of October) so communications really start to flow. Even with all this the biggest story of the day is a conjunction between Mars the Planet of our conscious desires and Pluto the planet of our unconscious desires. This is the start of a two year cycle whereby our unconscious Soul desires become conscious. The last time this occurred was back on November 27, 2012. Think back to your life then and now and you can get an idea of just how potent this cycle can be. Do you want the same things you wanted back at the end of 2012? What a way to start the week!

The Moon in sensitive Cancer faces some deep seeded fears today as we come up against forces greater than us. Whether they be governmental, work-related, parental, it is merely an opportunity to become aware that there are limitations, although those limitations may not hold sway forever, just at this time. This allows us to become more self-reliant on many levels. We don't need permission to be ourselves, we do however occasionally have to take the rules into consideration. Things will continue to change and the mighty will have their moment, then they fall. It's all in divine time. Focus on your own feelings and listen to your inner voice and you will find yourself exactly where you need to be.

The Cancer Moon has some lovely aspects today, yet most of them occur while we are sleeping. Fruitful dreams abound, sharpen you pencils. The Moon shifts into Leo midday, stimulating our creative side. The big story is a conjunction between Venus and Saturn in Scorpio. This is the start of a year long cycle where we create the structures for our transformed values. There is a square between Mars and Uranus today as well. This is a crisis in the way we think about freedom and the repression of that freedom. Revolution starts within. Listen to your own still small voice and you can transcend the need to fight against something and just be something. Care must be taken on the roads.

The Moon in Leo is has a great need to self-express, and we do have some challenges in that arena as the Moon comes up against difficult communications and challenges from those 'in charge'. Yet the urge to express is boosted by a trine to 'out of the box' Uranus to the Moon. The Sun squares Jupiter in Leo which can create some overconfidence and arrogance. If you can avoid those tendencies today is a highly creative day where you will be able to build foundations for future creations.

Today is the last quarter Moon with the Moon in dramatic Leo and the Sun in intense Scorpio. Last quarter Moons are crisis points when we are required to think about things in a different way. Leo is the sign of Love and Scorpio the sign of Desire so this is a very 'hot and heavy' combination. Jealousy, obsessiveness, and drama are all possibilities today. Mostly this type of reaction comes from a core in insecurity and a sense of being unlovable. We need to become responsible for our own hearts, learning to love and appreciate ourselves so that we can vibrate self-love and self-acceptance and draw someone who is feeling the same thing. It's time to let go of the judgment and move towards unity.

After a few days of high drama with the Leo Moon we have a shift in energy as the Moon slips into unassuming Virgo very early this morning. When the Moon is in Virgo we are willing and able to get down to the details of life and start working on all that 'fabulous' Leo creativity. An opposition to Neptune makes us aware of the need for healing, both personally and collectively. We are all in this together, so each step you take to heal yourself or heal another, you are in essence healing the world!

The Virgo Moon has a lot of support making our life work better for us. We have access to deep wells of resourcefulness as well as lots of energy to get the job done. The only caveat is a feeling that we may be working a bit too hard and missing out of the fun that freedom brings. Yet a well organized life often gives up more, not less freedom. A sextile between Mercury and Pluto give us the opportunity to reformulate the way we think about power. Be progressive in your thoughts on this subject. If you stick to your guns and don't take into consideration what you have learned and start putting that into practice you will waste a golden opportunity to shift in a profound way.

The Moon starts the day in detail oriented Virgo before shifting into relational Libra. While in Virgo the Moon makes a number of helpful aspects giving us a sense of what resources we have available to us and how best to utilize them. Then by mid afternoon, once the Moon has shifted into Libra, we have the opportunity to communicate to each other what is important to us, and from that we can move forward and make the best of the information given.
