Gardening, planting new things and blessing them while doing it.

Ooooh! Excellent! What are you planting? All I've put in in so far this year is a little bit of garlic.

Oh hm.. all the English names for stuff.

Several perennials, mostly the roots and bulbs, and I sowed multicolored cornflowers on a small patch, 5 roses, offshoots of gooseberry and blackberry, and 2 larger bushes of currant, which a neighbor didn't need anymore. and I am still needing to find out where I want to sow several colors and types of vines. Still going to need more plants, however, with the current crisis I don't want to go out a lot to find them.

I have several hers and veggies in the lil' greenhouse (cat protection) inside which still need to be planted. We will be preparing raised beds for them soon - can't bow down that much anymore.

Today we will also clean the temple hut outside.

Diy herbal oil lamps from empty glass spice jars. Thinking either a long wick to reach the 2/3 inch oil at bottom jar and candle wick suspended/placed into some orange rind to wedge into bottle opening or add water to oil so it floats to top and use much shorter candle wick etc. Tried slice of cork with aluminium foil but that failed to hold.

They are for use in garden not indoors. Read too many novels with fire dangers of oil lamps too risky in home.

It's Samhain here in the Southern hemisphere so I've been doing some protection spells and candle magick.

I’m petting my cat. He won’t let me stop. We commune...

I'm trying to read witchy stuff. The Pawbarians object. Cats can be very distracting.

It is finally mild warm weather May sunday so went to harvest some herbs. Just a handful or some smaller leaves.
Herbs collected for drying that grow in my garden: lemon balm, birch leaves, mugwort, marjoram, yarrow, dandelion few flowers and leaves, few sprigs of sweet woodruff with tiny white flowers.
Happy Mother's Day to all moms.
