Help deciphering my mom's dream.

My mom recently had a dream that shook her to her core. She is a religious woman, but she isn't hard set against paganism since she believes in things like curses and evil eye. In her dream, she was burning a statue of the Virgin Mary (or the Virgin of Guadalupe I don't remember right this moment) and it freaked her out so badly that she is wondering if there is something wrong with her, or if she upset someone. She respects the Virgins a ton, and has statues of them everywhere and prays to them constantly. She also makes trips to the nearest Basillica dedicated to the Lady of San Juan whenever she has an important issue in her life.

She wanted me to see if I could find out what her dream meant, but I have no idea. I can't imagine its a entirely bad sign since she prays to them so often. Dream interpretation books don't really cover specific catholic entities nor do they really give insight into burning holy figures so...

Any help would be appreciated so that I can relay it to my mom.

On the surface burning looks like destruction, but magically it signifies transformation. Fire also is a common symbol of strongly intense feeling as in a 'burning passion' for something. As your mom has a devotion to the BVM in her many images depicting her historical appearances, perhaps the dream signifies that your mom's spiritial understanding is going thru a deepening transformation process & her own awakening.

And if it was Ol Guadalupe then ten minutes spent on world news will find some reference to the on-going as we speak migrant exodus thru Central America. Passions are being enflamed for political maneuvering rather than the good of humble people.

Thanks Spirit Talker! :) I was hesitant to think that the burning of the statue was a bad omen, too, so this helps me feel more confident in telling my mom that it isn't something she should be frightened of. I think the idea of her spiritual understanding going through a deepening transformation process is very possible in light of my grandma getting cancer. No doubt she's been praying harder than ever and whatnot.

Thanks for the help!
