Love's Gentle Ray

Enveloped in darkness, our hearts shall stay
Until love sears us in it’s ray.
When come the sun, we reject it
Unless we're blessed by Cupid’s hit.

We think we need wait out a storm of pain,
When truly we must dance in the rain,
Scream with the thunder, run with the lightning,
And hear the skies gentle ring.

The ease of a heart’s crack
Can lead to imagination’s lack,
And cease creative thought,
For back this can’t be brought.

So fill your life to brim with glee
For tomorrows never promised at need,
So start living for today
And seek love’s gentle ray.
