Welp it's that time of year again! We make resolutions. ...and then rarely stick to them.
But this is something we can do collectively, as a global Coven, if you will.
I propose we burn candles towards an excellent New Year.
So many really horrible things happened in 2017, it would be nice to start out the year with an intent of healing. Healing ourselves to begin with, because trauma can lodge in your soul and slowly deplete ones energy with out even being aware as to why. If you saw even one news reel on a disaster, then that trauma is lodged in you somewhere. Even if you feel/think you were not affected by it. If you experienced trauma personally then this little ritual is an opening to be healed.
On a global scale, sending light into the universe is a way for others to tap into this healing beam, therefore creating a "telephone" type of energy that can be picked up on. It is a light filled with pure love. Most people will want to answer.
Tools:
1 white candle
Cup of water
Few grains of salt
(and basic ritual accouterments if you desire, but is not necessary)
This Ritual will be simple...
Start with a really good grounding, letting go of the year 2017. Placing your hands to the ground or even better lie prone, face to the earth, and letting the energy of 2017 flow away from you like a river into mother Gaia. If you were affected directly by trauma, realize this and release that into the earth as well...This may involve some tears, and that is good. Screaming may also be helpful. When you feel cleansed of the past year, rise up and thank the Earth. Pat yourself down a bit to seal off that energy and bring yourself back. We have left that energy Outside of circle.
Now...Cast a circle in a manner you are accustomed to.
Sit or stand however you are comfy and meditate a short time...not on anything in particular but be mindful, listen to the sounds around you, listen to your breath, if you begin to wander in your mind come back to listening to the sounds and your breath, if you have incense enjoy the fragrance. Be in the moment. When you feel well centered move onto rooting yourself to the earth and sky, bring the energy of above and below and merge into your heart center.
See this energy in the form of perfect healing love and pure white light streaming from your heart chakra and your hands and pouring into the candle. As this energy is transfered intone the Om sound three times. You should feel a fairly good surge of energy by the 3rd Om, Then light the candle. Let the remaining energy flow into the candle, draw your hands to your heart and close the channel, put your hands to the earth and release any risidual energy. Gaze upon your candle for a time and see the light connecting with all the other candles around the Earth. Forming a blanket of love light. Know the love is there for anyone to pick up on.
Now take up your glass of water, add the grains of salt, stir it mindfully deosil (your finger is a good wand) Imagine the liquid to be a pure healing elixir capable of restoration to all parts....body, mind, spirit.
(Toast to all on the planet)... say something like (remember to frame only in the positive)
"May these waters of life heal me in the New Year. (take Drink and feel it go all the way down touching ever cell and begining it's healing)...may these waters heal those in need in the new year, (drink again)... may these waters heal the Earth in the new year" (drink again) then pour the rest on the Earth.
Again see yourelf being healed by the elixer, take a moment with this visual, for when we are whole we are able to help others.
Ground, and close circle in manner you are accustomed to.
The candle will need to burn all the way out, place in fire safe area to do so.
This ritual would be excellent for midnight on the 1st of January, as we have a full moon too, but many of you probably have other plans so this can be done any time of the day on the 31st or the 1st, so that our candles will have time to merge and utilize the energy of the moon.
