At a Loss to help...healing??

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. My 16 y.o. daughter is having trouble swallowing. She has been to several different doctors, and all say there is nothing wrong, it is psychological. I felt from the beginning that this was the case but I had to be sure. It kind of makes sense, as she may have a blockage in her throat chakra as this relates to communication. She is a very peaceful, quiet kid, but also does not often express her feelings. I have tried and tried to get her to be more expressive, but she just doesn't have much to say. She always has a smile on her face and just an aura of peace about her, so to see her struggling with swallowing food, it's just heartbreaking to me. I don't really know what to do from here magically speaking...any ideas??

Hi Lunamoth, I'm glad you have had her to health professionals-that's really important. Did they suggest some resources in the area of professional health support like counselling? Somebody that your daughter feels comfortable with would be very worthwhile in this case. I don't even want to speculate because there could be many possible reasons for her to be experiencing difficulty with swallowing.

After that is in place, and you two can talk about what might be at the heart of it, then you can work on correspondences and solutions.

The cool thing is that at 16 she can work with you and choose some things that she feel might work for her...be it scent, colour, or choosing a special pendant she uses/concentrates, focuses on....

My thoughts are with you both.

Did the several different doctors include an ENT and a neurologist? Has a speech therapist been consulted? That's just where my brain immediately goes. If she likes to sing at all, that might help. A cloth soaked with lavender Epsom salts across her throat might be beneficial as well. I wish I had more suggestions. When I couldn't swallow, it was because of my ping pong ball sized tonsils. That was many years ago, and I suspect that's not the issue in this case. My best to you both.

thank you both..I have had her to all the specialists and they insist there's nothing. I am now up to working with correspondences.I am sure a chakra healing focusing on the fifth chakra would help and that is what i am attempting to do. Also yes she does like to sing, and is actually in a band and plays guitar. So she is expressing herself through music; however, i wonder if there is more going on in her peaceful little mind than she lets on She is such a "zen" kid, compared to my other two lol! Trying to get her to talk is like pulling teeth, she is extrememely quiet. Not with her friends but with anyone else. I like the lavender and epsom salt idea. Any other ideas???

I use Reiki to open and balance the chakras. You might look into getting attunements if that interests you and your daughter. Also, meditation is good. Yoga is a great practice that both aids meditation and chakra balancing. Love and light to you both.

See what appeals to her. She is now to an age where her instincts may lead her to what she needs for healing.

And remember, still waters run deep. It is OK to be quiet. Maybe let her be on that issue for a time?

Yes Myrth still waters run deep has always been the case with her. Just because she doesn't express herself doesn't mean theres not a lot going on. I worry about her Just as much as my other two.
