Today I am Grateful For...

Antibiotics. Hopefully, the swelling will go down so I can get back to work tomorrow. After that, I got to get a root canal. Oh, the joy. But, really, I am grateful for modern medicine. These past couple days I've been wondering what it would be like to have an abscess tooth a few centuries ago. Not pretty.

I'm grateful for my best friends, who have recently gotten me through some hard times and have made me feel treasured beyond what I ever thought I deserved. I'm also thankful for my boyfriend, who is also one of my best friends.

I'm grateful for Christmas. Even if it's not technically "our" holiday, I still celebrate it and love it, and I seem to be especially in a Christmas-y mood this year ^_^

I'm grateful for music. Our concert last night was both amazing and way too much fun, and I was shamelessly dancing the entirety of my jazz ensemble improv solo. XD

Today I'm greatful for my children - the two big ones who spent some very pleasing and quiet time with me making a fancy looking snowflake to hang up (no snow outside around here... so we need it in our decoratiin)

I'm greatful for my husband who took care of me and the household all weekend while I was sick - and comes home early to support me.

Despite my lack of desire to work in the past few days, I am grateful for my job. I am working very hard to get back on my feet financially and it provides for me fairly well.

Due to some past experiences, driving a car is usually an anxiety-laden activity for me, and an incredible strain. To-day I'm thankful for an unexpected bout of confidence behind the wheel and a pleasant ride.

I'm also thankful for "It's All Too Much" by the Beatles.

I'm grateful for this short pause in my life when I can afford to slow down and re-assess many different things in life, especially during this Mercury Rx. I'm grateful for the enormous amount of "sorting out" that was done during the previous few days, including scanning & destroying the huge pile of documents I had around since 2014, setting up two altars, and getting at least some sort of direction in life (but I don't expect anything until Mercury turns direct).

To-day I am grateful for antibiotics, inhalers, and health insurance, for kombucha and smoothies, for finding my daughter's lost stuffed animal, and for my family.

Today I am grateful for running water in my home. Though I usually take it for granted, we had a plumbing disaster last week that meant NO RUNNING WATER for 3 days. We have repaired the underground pipe break and have running water again. And that which I usually take for granted now seems like a wonderful luxury. So, I am grateful to be able to take a hot shower, to do my laundry, to do the dishes.
