Creative Ways to Call the Elements with Pop Culture Icons?

Hey everyone! Something I've been curious about and thought it would be fun to brainstorm is different ways that we can represent or call the elements using pop culture ...

I am myself rather fond of the symbols used in Avatar: the Last Airbender to depict the different elements (not to mention their nuanced and thoughtful approach to the elements in general):

I was also inspired by this article on Works of Literata about calling upon characters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer when calling the quarters (for me, it's Buffy = Earth, Willow = Fire, Xander = Water, Giles = Air).

How about you guys?

I love the idea of invoking figures from Tolkien. :) My thought would be:

Earth: Treebeard (as the guardian of trees, slow and steady personality)
Air: Gwaihir (king of the eagles, and wind)
Water: Galadriel (the emotional healing of Lothlorien, and her ring Nenya)
Fire: Gandalf (his fireworks, and his ring, Narya)

I might take the avatars trial. I had heard of using Poke'mon in this practice.

I have considered doing an elemental altar using Led Zeppelin.
Page - Water
Plant - Air
Bonham - Fire
Jones - Earth

Yes! I've always loved these. I love that show, it's beautiful. I was debating using it as well. (:

Sure why not? A lot of fiction is based on the same spiritual/philosophical sources that we use.

With my recent interest in Supernatural, I'm curious about using characters from that show to summon the elements. I was thinking it could go:

Fire: Dean (very driven, willful force)

Water: Castiel (deep undercurrents of emotion and compassion)

Air: Sam (the voice of reason)

Earth: Bobby (literally the salt of the earth, practical, and for a long time, his home was very much a hearth for Sam and Dean)

I watch Supernatural and think this is spot on.

I use the Beta session kids from homestuck to call the elements!

Dave Strider - fire
Rose Lalonde - water
John Egbert - air
Jade Harley - earth

It really fits actually. Dave's planet is basically a sphere of lava, Rose's is mostly ocean, Jade is a gardener and John's title is 'Heir of Breath' in which he inherits and is protected by wind and freedom.

Instead of Tarot elements, I’ve been contemplating using Magic:The Gathering cards haha.

For example, the are divided into Swamp, Forest, Island, Plains, and Mountains. Each one having an elemental attribute.

Thinking about this mostly to see if it works.
