Runes Question

Post by SingingCanyon »

So I recently found myself pulled towards buying a rune set. I went out and found one at my local bookstore and bought it. Unfortunately when I got home I found that they were "relationship runes".
So my question is this :
Can I use them for readings that don't have to do with relationships? Or are these going to be exclusive?

Thank you for your help.

Filled with my sorrows and blood in my fields.
I am the voice of the future,
Bring me your peace,
Bring me your peace and my wounds,
They will heal.

"Relationship runes"? From a quick google search, it seemed like they're from a book by Ralph Blum, right? They seem to be Elder Futhark runes, which have their own rich history and are definitely not limited to only relationship questions. (although from what I gather Ralph Blum is not the most reliable authority on the use of runes)

Although, theoretically, pretty much any system with a set of symbols and an element of randomness can be used for divination purposes; it is more important to hone your intuition, creativity, and open-mindedness.
